Our RFCs being a part of IETF would be a dream. However, their structure is at this particular moment significantly far from ours, I am not aware that there is a single web3 RFC within the IETF (which doesn’t mean we can’t be the first of course).
In general, that is a possibility we can strive towards in the far future, right now we aim to be the standard for RFCs within web3.
